2013 PRO TEAM KIT part 03

image

Part 3 of the 2013 team kit overview is Omega Pharma Quickstep.
What a disappointment. Honestly this kit looks so cheap designwise. Last year’s OPQS kit was very ‘meh’ but this is even worse. The top part looks like it might go somewhere with the rastered blue to black fade but then everything stops and it’s all white. Note the UCI Team Time Trial world champs logo.

This is the back with the addition of the Twitter account of the rider. Nice feature but designwise it’s just a botched job. They could have made this a nice design element but instead  it’s just boring old black type.

Overal it looks like they just wanted to make the OP & QS logos bigger without trying to make something attractive.

2013 PRO TEAM KIT part 02

Leaked image of the 2013 kit for Lotto Belisol which has a new sponsor (Telenet), hence the yellow shoulder. Another so-so design for Lotto. I wonder why Belgian teams can’t seem to get interesting designs done.

2013 PRO TEAM KIT part 01

It’s that time of year when next year’s pro team kit is finding its way on to the net.

First up is the ex-Rabobank, now ‘Blanco Giant’ (brainstorm gone wrong?) clothing which looks like someone took the default jersey design templates and slapped a few logos on it…

Although it could be worse… at least it’s a ‘clean’ design. Their Giant bike looks a lot better though. The kit/bike combo will probably look quite nice in the end.

Up next is the Movistar kit. A slightly darker blue and looks like they got rid of those weird light lines on the right side of the kit. All in all quite a clean design, nothing too exciting though.

Looking forward to the new SKY kit and the Radio Shack Leopard Trek (Leopard Trek was my 2011 and 2012 favourite kit) designs.

This is what the Belgian state came up with when they needed a new traffic sign that allows cyclists to jump red lights in certain circumstances. I assume no designer was involved with this monstrosity.
